RDM 100 Data Collection Node
- Uses VerScient Agent
- Communicates with local processing programs via socket, file or JNI (Java Native Interface)
- Optional Event Trigger(s) may be configured
- Data and/or Events received from local programs
- Maps data points and events to Organization/Node/Unit addressing
- Sends data to RDM 500 via Data Point Collector agent
RDM 500 Site Gateway
- Uses VerScient Agent
- Collects Data from RDM(s)
- Transports data to Data Server via Cellular Modem or other Internet Connection
- Can generate events based on data from multiple RDM 100s or sensor inputs
- Can persist high volume data locally and send to Data Server only on request
VerScient Data Server
- Uses VerScient Agent
- Collects and persists data from multiple RDMs
- Collected data is stored in a relational database
- Collected data can be queried, viewed and summarized via a Web Application
- Configuration of RDM units can be maintained by Data Server and sent via the communications medium to achieve zero on-site configuration
VerScient Web Interface
- Provides both remote unit configuration and access to collected data and events
- Uses SSL and a zoned security system to control access down to the unit level
VerScient Telephony Remote Command Interface
- Allows Data Server to initiate various types of notifications of alerts (e.g. Call Down List)
- Gives ability to launch Telco Scripts
- Telco Scripts are asynchronous event handling state machines in the Boyer-Moore format
VerScient E-Mail Interface
- Uses VerScient Agent
- Provides reliable e-mail delivery
- Can attempt delivery multiple times until successful
- If unable to send after repeated attempts, can notify administrator of failure
JAVA Agent Technology
- Designed to receive, process and transmit data in various forms
- Can generate events based on pre-defined rules
- Can catch and process events
- Uses pluggable Java technology
- Interfaces to "C" code for maximum performance in computationally intensive tasks
